Celebrating our
8th anniversary ๐
Eight years ago, MarsBased was born ๐ฑ Years after, we stick to our roots having no office, no board, no investment, no advisors, no acceleration nor incubation programs, no paid advertising, and no shortcuts whatsoever. We're at our peak, envisioning the exciting times ahead.
Thanks to everyone for making it possible ๐๐ผ

Martian breakfasts: where we celebrate our milestones
This year we've introduced a new ritual for celebrating the important milestones of the company, the team, and the projects. We do it by having a joint breakfast on Martian anniversaries, every time that a new Martian joins the team, a big project is released, etc. ๐ฅ Being a fully remote team, we jump in on gather.town and share some time together while we have breakfast. It's working very well so far, and it helps increase our awareness of all the things we achieve as a team.

The importance of saying NO
We have overcome one of the most intense periods at work in the entire life of the company, largely thanks to our ability to say 'no' more than we say 'yes', defying the standards and the etiquette of our industry.

Be more available to the rest of the team
At MarsBased, we've been following the "Less is more" approach in many areas. We prefer to develop fewer features and, then, evolve them. We prefer to have a limited set of tools over too many of them doing small things. We like to reduce meetings to their minimum expression. But there is an area of the company where we were not following this approach. Our CTO, Xavier Redรณ, tells you about it here ๐๐ป

We've adopted Linear for project (and company) management!
We like to review our workflows, tools and policies every now and then because what it used to be good for us, might not be the right fit now. For instance, last year, we changed our project management tool from JIRA to Linear. Our COO, Jordi Vendrell, explains what a change it has meant for MarsBased!
