HappyScribe
We empowered the marketing team of a tech scale-up with a new CMS and a full website redesign.

A custom CMS
HappyScribe is a tech company based in Barcelona, specializing in automatic transcription and subtitling using artificial intelligence. Their tools are designed for content creators, journalists, researchers, and audiovisual teams around the world.
As the company grew, their marketing team found themselves limited by a legacy CMS that required engineering support for even the smallest changes. This technical dependency slowed down their ability to publish content, make quick adjustments, and launch new campaigns. They were also aiming to release a new version of the website, with a more modern design, by March 2025.
This is the kind of need we’ve addressed many times. Like many other scale-ups, HappyScribe’s technical leadership chose to keep their development team focused on the core product. They outsourced all marketing-related requests to MarsBased. It’s the same collaboration model we’ve successfully used with clients like Rakuten.tv and Localistico, removing bottlenecks and allowing each team to focus on what they do best.
After evaluating different options, we proposed and executed a full migration to Sanity CMS. This headless solution enables content teams to work fully independently. Alongside the migration, we carried out a complete website redesign, optimizing its visual and technical structure to make it cleaner, more flexible, and scalable. We also implemented a progressive deployment system that allowed the old version to remain live while the new design was gradually integrated from a staging environment prepared for continuous validation. This strategy ensured stability, quality control, and a smooth transition.

We partnered with MarsBased to rebrand our marketing site and transition from a legacy Rails setup to a modern architecture that empowers our marketing team to be independently. Their deep Rails expertise and adaptability made the process smooth and efficient. Working with them was a real pleasure.
