In the last issue of the year, we shared that 2019 has been one of the most interesting rides of our career. We managed to turn around one of the biggest setbacks we've ever had and finished with the biggest year so far. We shared our gratitud and a recap of the year we've had!
Looking for investment? (December 3, 2019)
Our broad network includes many business angels, VCs and other investment vehicles who are always looking for new talent. We made an open call for startups to send us their decks if they were fundraising. We also shared a couple of fireside chats we did in October and shared our latest portfolio: DPL ETT.
Introducing the MarsBased Employee Handbook! (November 19, 2019)
Onboarding people the right way is as important as hiring the right people for your company. To prevent forgetting things during the onboarding process, we published our employee Handbook, a centralised document of reference for new hires to find answers to some of the most common questions, and we devoted this issue of the newsletter to explain many of the things we do in the company.
We are launching a new service: Tech Audits! (November 5, 2019)
Our Tech Due Diligences asses the state of companies' tech assets & workflows, analysing potential issues in security, scalability, dependencies, performance, and whether they do what they say they do. If you need to check the work of your current provider, or the quality of the work your team members produce, let's talk about it. This is also valid for companies you want to invest in, if you're an investor.

We started 2019 announcing our adoption of Node.js as a de facto development environment for our backend projects, in addition to Rails. We dedicated this edition of the MarsBased newsletter to share with you our experience with Node.js.
Looking for talent to join the Martian Spaceship! (October 1, 2019)
Things were looking great on the Red Planet. We lined up projects for the next six months and further, so we made an open call for more talent to join us as a team member or as a freelancer. We help our clients to hire developers and we advise a few other companies to grow their tech teams. In this issue, we shared the annual Stack Overflow 'Developer Survey Results' so our readers could learn more about the state of the art of the tech industry. We also announced that we were expanding our team, the final line-up of the third Startup Grind Tech Conference, and shared a blog post about using Shrine as an alternative to Active Storage.
MarsBased's 5th Anniversary! (March 19, 2019)

A whole year in one page 📝 (February 5, 2019)
2018 was one of the best years of the company, so we compiled a month-to-month breakdown of all that happened to our company in a very successful blog post. We also announced our new business lines of web development using Node.js and React.

We kicked off 2019 by being thankful to everyone we've crossed paths with in our entrepreneurial journey. Wrapping up 2018 on Earth (December 4, 2018)
2018 was a great year for us. We had a really successful Startup Grind Tech Conference, where our CTO Xavi spoke about hiring and building teams of remote developers, and then he shared a blog post about his tips for public speaking. We also found many new clients throughout the year, grew our team and released a new website with our new visual identity and our Playbook.
Imminent Martian Invasion in Barcelona! (November 6, 2018)
The second edition of the Startup Grind Tech Conference was just around the corner. We announced the founders and CXOs of N26, Shazam, Codecademy, Dow Jones, Revolut and many more companies as speakers for our conference and shared a blog post about managing remote teams and one about deploying Ruby on Rails projects using Kubernetes.

Fresh right out of the summer break, we reached warp speed with our projects and announced ticket sales for our second edition of the Startup Grind Tech Conference 2018.
