What did we do?

MarsBased partnered with Nieves Energía to design and develop a React Native mobile application that empowers their corporate clients to fully digitize the management of their business accounts and vehicle fleets.

Built around a seamless and intuitive experience, the platform gives company administrators complete control over their fueling operations, all from a single, unified interface.

Through the app, users can register and manage fleets, assign drivers, and handle digital loyalty cards, both prepaid and postpaid. They can set and monitor spending limits, top up balances, and track refueling activity in real time. The system also helps locate nearby service stations through precise geolocation and authorizes refueling securely by validating proximity with dynamic QR codes.

The result is a comprehensive digital fueling solution that brings together convenience, control, and security, redefining how companies manage their energy and mobility operations.

Challenges

One of the main technical challenges was ensuring smooth compatibility between Tamagui, Expo, and React Native, three fast-moving frameworks with constant updates and interdependent changes. Aligning their versions while keeping the app stable required careful dependency management and continuous testing.

We also needed to guarantee that core features, such as secure refueling, real-time validation, and accurate geolocation, worked flawlessly across all devices and environments. These workflows are critical for daily operations, so reliability and performance were non-negotiable.

Additionally, the architecture had to remain flexible and scalable, supporting future iterations and new functionalities without forcing major rewrites. Balancing present needs with long-term growth was key to building a durable digital foundation.
