This kind of file is becoming standard practice as AI-assisted development matures. The idea is that an agent dropping into a large unfamiliar codebase can read this first and immediately know where things live, how to run tests, and what conventions to follow without having to reverse-engineer all of that.

Anthropic's code-review plugin
Anthropic's code-review plugin is proving to be very useful in some of our projects. You run it locally against a PR (current branch by default), it checks if the PR is eligible (not a draft, etc.), spins up several agents in parallel to review it, and returns the issues scoring above 80. You can then post as comments on the PR.

The caveman plugin is also spreading like wildfire. By compressing Claude's outputs, turning its verbose language into much simpler structures (caveman talk), you're able to save more tokens per request.
