Season's greetings from Mars 🎄 (December 22, 2022)
Like every year, we celebrated our Xmas Martian Day in Barcelona, which was very special. The founders presented the results of the year as well as the goals for the year ahead, we discussed ideas for improvement, we voted on the next year's retreat destination - Formentera 🏝, we had the awards ceremony, the MarsBased Trivial, and whatnot. We ended up the day with a celebration dinner to which our collaborators and the Startup Grind team were invited too. What a table 😍
Surfing economic downturns (November 29, 2022)
Amid the news of massive layoffs in the sector, our CEO Àlex addressed the team in an internal basecamp post to let us know that the company is very stable and that we're signing very long contracts with clients, and even expanding our team. Personalism vs. professionalism 🚨 (October 25, 2022)
There's a thin line between being professional and having no limits to what you do for work and how you do it. Overpleasing people constantly might actually be detrimental to your business and your reputation. New season, new updates ☄️ (September 27, 2022)
In this issue of the newsletter, we shared how we've adopted async as a natural evolution of our officeless, full-remote philosophy. We also signed new contracts, and thus, we were growing our team and looking for developers. We also introduced a new website design.
2 Years of Podcast 🎉 (June 30, 2022)
In June 2022, Life on Mars podcast turned 2 years old with a total of 50 episodes in the English edition + another 50 in the Spanish one. Our CEO Àlex shared the main learnings along the way on a Twitter thread. We also shared our top episodes for each feed.
Energized from our company retreat 💚 (May 31, 2022)
In May 2022, the Martians traveled to Asturias for the company retreat! 3 days of quality time together, with plenty of fun activities such as paintball, hiking around the Covadonga lakes, visiting towns by the coast, and enjoying the local gastronomy (so tasty) feel so stimulating 🚀
Can't believe this is happening 🎉 (April 27, 2022)
We had been around two years apart, and none of us could really believe meeting again in person was actually happening. After postponing due to Omicron what would've been our first in-person Christmas Martian Day in two years, on April 1st 2022, we got the crew back together, and no, it wasn't an April's Fools. This was happening for reals. Our very own Genís takes us through the journey in this blog post with plenty of cool shots he took for us.
Celebrating our 8th anniversary 🎉 (March 15, 2022)
Eight years ago, MarsBased was born 🌱 Years after, we stick to our roots having no office, no board, no investment, no advisors, no acceleration nor incubation programs, no paid advertising, and no shortcuts whatsoever. We're at our peak, envisioning the exciting times ahead. Thanks to everyone for making it possible 🙌🏼.

2021 was one hell of a ride. It brought us the best and worst moments as a company, so we wanted to acknowledge all we'd done and everyone who supported us along the way.
Martian crew in expansion 🚀 (November 16, 2021)
We're abducting once-Martians! That week, we started working again with Emilio, the first and only intern we had in the company back in 2014, and his business partners. After his internship in 2014, Emilio went back to his studies, but we knew we'd work together again someday, and so did he, as stated in his farewell post, An internship out of this world, where he explained his experience on Mars. We're so happy that moment has arrived. Welcome (back) Emilio, and company!

One year of Life on Mars! (June 22, 2021)
We celebrated one year of our podcast, Life on Mars, in this issue, so we provided a guide of how to start listening to it. We made a selection of three episodes in English and Spanish for each of the following categories: The most listened, About MarsBased, For techies, and Inspirational / Fun / Miscellanea. We also shared a special episode of Q&A with the three founders, our new client: DeWocracy, and some of our best content from the blog and events we've spoken at.
Beating the virus: lessons from our 7th year running MarsBased (May 18, 2021)
The COVID-19 pandemic affected everyone differently and we are no exception. We wanted to share, in this issue, our ups and downs from 2020 in our annual post about lessons learnt, including management, finance, and mental health, among other topics. There's also a fair share of interesting articles about remote work, this time around.
Our podcast website has been released!! (April 20, 2021)
Two months before the first anniversary of Life on Mars, our podcast, we had +50 episodes in English and Spanish with +5,5K downloads from the audience. We wanted to keep building on it, and that's why we released a freshly designed dedicated NEW WEBSITE, in which you can find all the audios and videos in one single place. Hiring more Martians! (March 16, 2021)
2021 started in good fashion for us. After a surprisingly good 2020 (in business terms), we hired a couple of extra people, and we signed new projects for the rest of the year. In this issue, we shared our job openings, a bunch of our most popular podcast episodes, announced two new clients, and we started sharing news from the tech industry.

Introducing the MarsBased Employee Handbook! (November 19, 2019)
Onboarding people the right way is as important as hiring the right people for your company. To prevent forgetting things during the onboarding process, we published our employee Handbook, a centralised document of reference for new hires to find answers to some of the most common questions, and we devoted this issue of the newsletter to explain many of the things we do in the company.

MarsBased's 5th Anniversary! (March 19, 2019)

Wrapping up 2018 on Earth (December 4, 2018)
2018 was a great year for us. We had a really successful Startup Grind Tech Conference, where our CTO Xavi spoke about hiring and building teams of remote developers, and then he shared a blog post about his tips for public speaking. Imminent Martian Invasion in Barcelona! (November 6, 2018)
The second edition of the Startup Grind Tech Conference was just around the corner. We announced the founders and CXOs of N26, Shazam, Codecademy, Dow Jones, Revolut and many more companies as speakers for our conference and shared a blog post about managing remote teams and one about deploying Ruby on Rails projects using Kubernetes.
