Slack is the new trend in online communications. Given its free-for-all policy, all kinds of companies adopted this popular communication app as their de facto communication platform. Slack is quickly becoming a communication standard among companies and communities.

We're excited to announce the launch of a Slack Community for all Barcelona startups and entrepreneurs.

Time flies. We have been so busy this year, that we have barely had time to look back to all the things we have accomplished thus far. Actually, it’s been a year and a month since we legally founded MarsBased.

One of the companies we look up to is Dockyard. They run a very inspirational blog, where they publish their experiences. This is a small homage to them and to this post, where they described the difficulties they faced during the first six months running a consultancy.

Here’s what we have learnt in this first year of operating full-time as service providers.

It's been two months since our last status update, and we wanted to let you know we're far from dead.

After a fledging progression that has seen us completing our first projects after the summer, a couple of new big challenges have popped up. All these projects have kept us swamped with work, but they are also a reason to celebrate.

Indeed, 2014 has brought many good achievements and landmarks for our company. But none of them can compare to celebrating our first Christmas dinner.

In our last blog entry, we described our first day with our new hire, Javi. Two weeks in, and the whole team has felt the boost of having a new employee at MarsBased: the company is producing more, he's learning while having fun, and so are we.

However, a new employee brings in a whole set of risks that need to be addressed when running your own company. One of them is the integration in the team, and this is what this entry is about.
